Amy Thompson is a Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) student at the University of Texas at Arlington and a member of the 2026–2027 ABBA 4EVER® Leadership Academy Internship Program. She is committed to serving others and developing the knowledge, leadership, and professional skills needed to make a meaningful impact in the community.
In addition to her academic studies, Amy serves as a substitute teacher with Fort Worth ISD, where she has gained valuable experience supporting students from diverse backgrounds and fostering positive learning environments.
As a bilingual student, Amy brings an added level of support to ABBA 4EVER® Enterprises, Inc. by helping strengthen communication and engagement with individuals and families from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds. Her language skills enhance the organization's ability to build inclusive relationships and expand access to community resources.
During her internship, Amy will focus on community outreach, partnership development, and community engagement. She will assist in cultivating relationships with local organizations, businesses, educational institutions, and community stakeholders while helping identify new collaborative opportunities that advance ABBA's mission and programs. Through this experience, she will strengthen her skills in nonprofit leadership, advocacy, networking, and community resource development.
Amy is dedicated to lifelong learning and is excited to contribute to initiatives that empower individuals, foster meaningful partnerships, and create stronger, more connected communities.
